Who Should Not Take Zestril?

You should not take Zestril if:
 
  • You are allergic to Zestril, lisinopril, or any inactive component used to make Zestril. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of inactive ingredients.
     
  • You have a history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor treatment.
     
  • You have hereditary or idiopathic angioedema.
     
  • Have diabetes and are taking aliskiren (Tekturna®) or aliskiren combination medications (Tekamlo®, Tekturna HCT®, Amturnide®), due to the risk of a dangerous drug interaction.
