Who Should Not Take Metolazone?

You should not take metolazone if:
 
  • You are allergic to Zaroxolyn, metolazone, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • You are not producing any urine (anuria).
     
  • You have severe liver disease (especially hepatic coma).
