At this time, there are no known drug interactions with taurine. However, this does not mean that there are not any substances that will negatively interact with it. It simply means that no taurine drug interactions have been reported.

Does Taurine Interact With Any Drugs?

Taurine is an amino acid that is claimed to be beneficial for a wide variety of conditions. It is available in dietary supplements and energy drinks. It is also included in many infant formulas. There are no known drug interactions with taurine. However, this does not mean that taurine does not interact with any medications. It simply means that no possible or likely interactions have been reported.

It is possible that there are potential taurine interactions that are not currently known. Therefore, you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about any specific drug interactions with taurine that may apply to you. If you take taurine, make sure to include it in your list of medications and supplements that you are taking.
