Digoxin Use in Children

If you have congestive heart failure (CHF) or atrial fibrillation, you may benefit from digoxin (Lanoxin®). This medication is available in tablet, oral solution, and injectable forms. Digoxin is approved for use in children, including premature infants, infants, and newborns. Premature infants may be more sensitive to the effects of this medication. Doses are highly individualized in infants, usually based on the infant's body weight.
