How Should Digoxin Be Stored?

Digoxin products should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and direct light. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children.
 

What Should I Do If I Forget a Dose?

If you forget to take your digoxin dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.

Digoxin comes in the following strengths and forms:
 
  • Digoxin 0.0625 mg (62.5 mcg) tablet
  • Digoxin 0.125 mg (125 mcg) tablet
  • Digoxin 187.5 mg (187.5 mcg) tablet
  • Digoxin 0.25 mg (250 mcg) tablet
  • Digoxin 0.25 mg per mL (250 mcg per mL) injection
  • Digoxin 0.05 mg per mL (50 mcg per mL) oral solution (elixir).
 

Can I Buy Generic Digoxin?

Most digoxin products are available in generic form. However, Lanoxin pediatric injection is not available as a generic. Make sure your healthcare provider knows if you need a generic product for cost or insurance reasons.
