This medication comes as a tablet that is taken once or twice a day on an empty stomach. To get the most out of each dose, quinapril hydrochloride must be taken as prescribed, and should be taken at the same time each day. For your safety, do not take any salt substitutes containing potassium or potassium supplements without first discussing it with your healthcare provider.
Quinapril hydrochloride has been studied extensively in clinical trials. In these trials, some of the most commonly reported side effects included cough, dizziness, headache, and fatigue.
