Diagnosing Congestive Heart Failure (Cont.)

Thyroid Function Tests
Thyroid function tests are common blood tests done to find out how well the thyroid is functioning. They include:

  • Blood tests
  • Various imaging procedures
  • Stimulating thyroid function.

These tests are important because both an overactive and an underactive thyroid can be the main or contributing cause of heart failure.
