Bumetanide Medication

Bumetanide (Bumex®) is a prescription medication that has been licensed to treat water retention (edema) caused by various conditions, including:
 
Bumetanide belongs to a class of drugs called diuretics. It works by increasing the amount of water and salt that the kidneys remove from the blood, which causes a decrease in blood volume.
 
This product comes in tablet form and is usually taken once a day. Although generally well tolerated, side effects are possible and may include an electrolyte imbalance, muscle cramps, and dizziness.
