Who Should Not Take Amiloride?

You should not take amiloride if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Midamor, amiloride, or any inactive component used to make amiloride. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have kidney disease, including acute or chronic kidney failure (renal failure).
     
  • Have high potassium levels (hyperkalemia) before starting the drug.
