Potassium
In general, products containing potassium should not be used with amiloride-HCTZ, due to the risk of high potassium levels (hyperkalemia).
 
Spironolactone
Amiloride-HCTZ should not be taken with spironolactone. Taking these two medications together increases your risk of high potassium levels (hyperkalemia).
 
Tacrolimus
Combining amiloride-HCTZ with tacrolimus can increase the risk of high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Your healthcare provider should check your potassium levels regularly during treatment if you are taking both of these medications.
 
Triamterene Products
Taking amiloride-HCTZ with medications that contain triamterene can increase the risk of high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Your healthcare provider should check your potassium levels regularly during treatment if you are taking these medications together.
