Diarrhea or constipation, weakness, and blurred vision are some of the commonly reported Aldactazide side effects. In most cases, side effects are minor and either do not require medical attention or can be treated easily. However, there are certain side effects of Aldactazide that are potentially serious and that should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately, including dehydration, gout, or jaundice.

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Aldactazide^® (spironolactone-HCTZ); however, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Potential Aldactazide Side Effects

Aldactazide has been studied thoroughly in clinical trials, in which a group of people taking the drug have side effects documented and compared to another group not taking the medicine. This way, it is possible to see what side effects occur, how often they appear, and how they compare to the group not taking the medicine.

In these studies, a few of the possible Aldactazide side effects included:

Weakness
Diarrhea or constipation
Nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite
Vertigo (a spinning sensation)
Headache
Restlessness
Blurred vision
Confusion
Menstrual problems, including irregular or absent periods
