Aldactazide Drug Interactions
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
Taking Aldactazide with NSAIDs can make Aldactazide less effective and may increase your risk of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to increase your dose of Aldactazide or suggest an alternative to NSAIDs to prevent these interactions from occurring.
In general, potassium-containing products should not be used with Aldactazide, due to the risk of high potassium levels (hyperkalemia).
Combining Aldactazide with medications that contain triamterene can increase the risk of high potassium levels in your blood (hyperkalemia). Your healthcare provider should check your potassium levels regularly if you are taking both of these medications.
It is possible that not all Aldactazide drug interactions were discussed in this article. Therefore, you should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about specific drug interactions that may apply to you.
